Co-op Supermarket

A restricted, brownfield site in Wells next the Sea, close to a Conservation Area. A 10,000 sqft retail store was designed and built to serve the local community. The building was designed around the retail needs, looking for a contemporary aesthetic that would complement the Conservation Area and sit close to housing. We worked closely with the Local Planning Authority to achieve a scheme that was felt best suited in this sensitive area. Plant and machinery noise was carefully considered so as not to disturb the quiet nature of the immediate surroundings.
