The EDP Business Awards 2017 took place on Thursday 2nd November at the Norfolk Showground Arena, where many Norfolk businesses were recognised for their achievements over the last 12 months. Paul Robinson Partnership continued their support by sponsoring the Enviro-Technologies award for another year and were part of a judging panel focused on recognising those green pioneers and innovators based in Norfolk who is leading the way in their use of environmentally friendly practices.

The 3 finalists, Enlight, Fresh Pod & Gurney Environmental, each demonstrated their own individual passion for going that extra mile, offering something new and exciting for expansion both in Norfolk and further afield.  On the night, Enlight was awarded winners of the Enviro-Technologies award 2017, with David Aarons saying,

“It is all about listening to what people need and aligning technology with those needs.”

The judge’s described the winners as,

“… a long-established family owned and operated company which would act as an exemplary role model for any enviro start-up looking to move through to mature manufacturer. It has developed a profitable business that has contributed to the environment while enabling customers to save significant amounts of money …”

East Anglia is at the vanguard of the green economy with Norfolk businesses in pole position to seize the opportunities afforded by the switch to renewable technology. Andrew Smith, a partner at Paul Robinson Partnership, explains why companies in this sector have a lot to shout about.

“To innovate is to provide a highly creative and functional solution to the point of its total acceptance into everyday life. This is why we are long standing supporters of the EDP Business awards because we enjoy celebrating successful Norfolk businesses and helping to champion new, sustainable technologies. The awards go a long way to getting the word out there that Norfolk means business.”
