Mark Austin
Architectural Technologist (MCIAT)
Mark’s journey into architecture began during his school years, where he discovered a passion for art, technical drawing, and creative design. This early interest led him to pursue studies in art and design, where he engaged in hand drawing, digital design, sculpture, and model making. It was during this period that Mark discovered his enthusiasm for technical drawing and the built environment.
With over 15 years of professional experience, Mark has developed his skills through both academic and practical experience. Following further studies specialising in Interior and Spatial Design, Mark gained industry experience by working at local architectural practices and undertaking further educational studies in construction. In 2021, he joined Paul Robinson Partnership (PRP), where he has continued to develop his skills and advance his career. Mark values the supportive and collaborative culture at PRP, as well as the diverse range of projects that enables him to broaden his experience across various sectors.
Mark’s portfolio at PRP spans multiple sectors, including residential and commercial architecture, educational facilities, and holiday and leisure developments. He particularly enjoys the challenge of balancing creativity with technical precision. Notably, he has contributed to several educational projects, including the development at Hartismere High School, an especially meaningful project, as he once attended the school himself.
Having spent several years travelling the world, Mark has visited and drawn inspiration from some of the world’s most iconic architectural and renowned landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House in Australia, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen sports enthusiast, with a particular interest in football.
